| Wed, 04 Mar 2009 13:11:00 +0000 March 4 Another great auction in store for Sunday. If you ever thought about buying anything, now is the time with prices running considerable less than previous years. The Depression of 2009 has not stopped us, we are just selling more stuff for less! There is a load of very nice furniture that came in yesterday, as well as a ton of small goods and glass from a dealer's inventory that we have been trying to liquidate for the past few weeks. Also, Drew has brought in a dozen different consignments that include just about everything. We are again pleased to order BBQ for you from Rusty's. It is so good!! |

Drew is shorthanded, so we will be getting pictures up as soon as we can. On tap for this auction is a Longaberger basket collection, Heisey glass collection, American flyer model trains, a very large stained glass window from a Gadsden church, a mahogany bedroom suite, several other great mahogany pieces, plus more furniture from a local estate and lots of smalls that we have not even unpacked yet from the storage building of a local antique dealer. There are dozens of nice gallery prints that we still have to sell this week, as well as dozens more older frames and paintings. This is shaping up to be another great sale as there are MANY more loads coming in all the time. |

| Fri, 09 Jan 2009 03:26:00 +0000 Jan 1 Sale Big Success The New Year started off with a bang with a packed house for the first sale at our Crestwood location. The art work commanded prices within their auction estimates. There were some highlights, with the pegged 19th century pine cupboard bringing $1300 and the railroad brass bell ringing in the New Year at $550. While there were certainly other pieces that commanded prices higher than their estimates, overall the furniture prices were lower than the previous years, reflecting the buyer's market of the times. See you on the 24th. Keep checking our website for updates and pictures as the consignments arrive. |

Another load of furniture has arrived including a Gov. Winthrop desk, Duncan Phyffe sofa, oak Hoosier cabinet, spinning wheel and more. We also have dozens of nice prints.
