Chef Jonathan Tucker established JT
Catering as a natural extension of his love of cooking and
entertaining. In 2005, he graduated magna cum laude from Johnson
& Wales University in Charleston, South Carolina with an Associate’s
Degree in Culinary Arts. After graduating summa cum laude from
Johnson & Wales University with a Bachelor’s of Arts in Food Service
Management, Jonathan returned to Birmingham from Charlotte, North
Carolina. During his education, he worked with various caterers and
restaurants, including the four-star Charleston Grill, Charlotte’s
Sticky Fingers, and Birmingham’s Satterfields, working with well known
and talented chefs such as Bob Wagner, Frank Sekyra, and Jason Neely. Before his formal culinary training, Jonathan learned to cook at home. By the age of seven he was baking biscuits from his grandfather’s recipe and studying at the sides of the family’s many talented cooks. The tutilage of many great chefs as well as a family's love for great food has given Jonathan a well-rounded background in nearly all aspects of the culinary world. |
